1. Introduction

Good morning, friends!
Welcome to Sunday School.
Today's title is
Bread of Life.
What is the Bread of Life? Let's find out together!

2. A Question for You
Have you ever been really hungry?
What do you do when your tummy growls?
Are you thinking about yummy mac and cheese?

We eat food to feel better, right? But today, we’re going to talk about something even more important than food. Let’s discover what it is!

3. The Miracle of the 5,000
Do you remember the story of Jesus feeding 5,000 people?
Jesus took 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish and fed a huge crowd.
Everyone ate until they were full, and there were even 12 baskets of leftovers!

But after some time, the people got hungry again.
So they looked for Jesus and said, “Jesus, Jesus, we’re hungry! Give us more food!”

4. Jesus’ Reply
Then Jesus said something very important:

"Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life."
(John 6:27)

Jesus wanted them to understand that there is something even more important than food for our tummies.

5. Food That Lasts Forever
What kind of food lasts forever?
Jesus explained that the food He was talking about wasn’t something you can eat with your mouth. It is something that feeds your heart and soul.

He said this:
Let’s read it together. Ready? 3…2…1…

"I am the Bread of Life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."
(John 6:35)

6. What Really Satisfies Us
Sometimes, we focus too much on what we want—like toys or snacks.
But those things don’t make us happy forever.
Soon, we want something new, or we get hungry again.

Imagine if you ate one bite of bread and never got hungry again! Wouldn’t that be amazing?
That’s a little like what Jesus is saying.

When we believe in Him, we don’t have to keep looking for things to make us happy or fill us up on the inside—He is all we need!

Jesus wants us to focus on what lasts forever: His love and the promise of living with Him forever.
Just like bread keeps our bodies alive, Jesus keeps our hearts and souls alive forever.

Let’s pray.

Dear Jesus, thank You for being the Bread of Life.

Thank You for giving us everything

we need to live with You forever.

Help us to trust You and focus on the things that last forever—Your love and Your promises.

We prayed in Jesus’ name, Amen.
