FLIP YOUR LIFE
John 4:27-42
1. Hi Friends!
Welcome to Sunday School.
Today's title is "Flip Your Life."
How can we flip our lives?
What does it mean to flip your life?
Let’s find out.
2. A long, long time ago, there was a woman.
We don’t know her name, but she lived in Samaria, so let’s call her the Samaritan woman.
Look at her eyes.
Do you think she looks happy?
(Listen to their responses.)
Yes, I agree with you.
She looks sad and lonely.
3. She was very lonely.
She didn’t have any friends, not even one.
All the people in the village criticized her and avoided her. She was sad and lonely every day.
4.
But one day, Jesus spoke to her.
Why would Jesus speak to me? she thought.
She was very surprised.
5. Jesus spoke to the woman.
This is what we learned last week.
Shall we read it together?
"Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst."
The woman realized that Jesus was the Messiah.
The Messiah means the Savior.
He is the one who leads us from darkness to light,
The one who saves us from our sins. That is who Jesus is.
6. The woman was so happy.
Jesus saved me!
Jesus loves me!
Jesus forgave me!
She was so joyful that hearts were bubbling up from her heart,
Her smile couldn’t be contained, and
Her eyes sparkled with happiness.
She couldn’t hide her joy.
So, she went to tell the people in the village the good news.
7. Let’s read the verse together.
"She said to the people,
‘A man told me everything I have ever done. Come see him. Maybe he is the Christ!’ John 4:29 (ICB), Amen."
What happened next?
Even the neighbors who used to criticize her came to believe in Jesus.
8. Jesus is the one who changes our lives.
Mary Magdalene, who was once possessed by demons,
Met Jesus and became one of His followers.
Mary gave Jesus the most precious perfume she owned.
9. The disciples of Jesus at first loved money, fame, and wanted to be great.
But after meeting Jesus, they became evangelists who shared Jesus with others.
10. Do you know the Apostle Paul?
At first, Paul persecuted people who believed in Jesus.
He said he would chase them to the ends of the earth to punish them.
But after meeting Jesus, what happened to him?
Paul became a great evangelist who went to the ends of the earth to share Jesus.
11. Friends, only Jesus can change our lives.
When we read His words, our lives are transformed.
Let’s hope our lives will be filled with light, not darkness.
Let’s pray.
Dear Lord,
Jesus is our Savior.
Our darkness becomes bright with His light.
We bring our sadness to You.
Fill us with you.
In Jesus Christ’s name, we pray. Amen.
